Before the Internet existed, in 1989, the largest lock pick manufacturer we know today was born. In 1991, this lock pick giant continued under the name SouthOrd. SouthOrd eliminated the large rivets in handles and also used an advanced spot welding process. As a result, SouthOrd became known for its fine lock picks that are smooth as a baby’s bum from head to toe. SouthOrd’s first lock picks were made of carbon steel, but these soon proved to rust.
